To have the true flavor as they are in Germany:
Prepare your grill and cook this with beechwood or oak chips if you can find it. (Soak the chips in water before using) If you can't find Beechwood, Mesquite or hickory will do.
2 1/2 puonds boneless pork loin
Cut into 2-3 inch steaks, pounded to 3/4 inch thick.
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1/2 cup oil
1 cup water
1 cup white wine (or apple cider)
1 Tbsp Oregano leaves
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
4 tbsp Paprika
Marinate meat for 24- 48 hours.
Grill for approximately 10 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your taste.
Serve on a crusty roll with a nice German salad.
