Spareribs /w Sauerkraut

3 lbs or more country pork ribs
1 tsp salt
1 med chop onion
1 2lb BAG saurekraut (DO NOT USE CANNED) too salty
1/2 tsp caraway seeds
2 tsp sugar
1 cup BOILEING water


Cut ribs into small serving sized pieces
Brown well add onion & water saurekraut Mix in caraway & sugar.
Cook about 1 1/2 hours medium heat covered, then uncover last 1/2 hour.
Salt & Pepper to taste
serve /w chunk cut or mash potatoes
