30 SALTINE CRACKERS
1/2 C. BUTTER
3 CUPS THINELY SLICED ONIONS
1/C. BUTTER
1/2 LB GRATED SHARP CHEESE
1 1/2 C.SCALDED MILK
3 BEATEN EGGS
1/2 TSP SALT
1/2 TSP PEPPER


USE CRACKER AND 1/2 C. BUTTER TO FORM CRUST. SAUTE ONIONS IN 1/4 C.BUTTER.PLACE ON TOP OF CRUST IN SHALLOW CASSEROLE. SPRINKLE WITH CHEESE.

THIS MAY BE FIXED HRS.AHEAD OF TIME. WHEN READY TO PUT INTO OVEN ADD MILK EGGS SALT AND PEPPER. POUR OVER MIXTURE IN CASSEROLE. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 30 MINS. OR UNTIL CUSTARD SET'S
